Finance Minister Arun Jaitley will present the Union Budget 2018-19 in the Parliament on February 1, Thursday. Just like last year, railway budget will also be presented along with the union budget. This year’s budget session is crucial as it would be the first union budget to be presented under the Goods and Services Tax (GST) regime. This will also be Narendra Modi government’s fifth and last full-fledged budget presentation before the 2019 Lok Sabha polls.
The demand for grants of the Ministry of Railways will be presented in the Lok Sabha on 5th February.
