Bhubaneswar, Jan 17: All India Congress of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (AICOG) today conducted 11 Pre-congress workshops in 3 medical colleges of Bhubaneswar.
These workshops were held in Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), Institute of Medical Sciences and Sum Hospital (IMS&SUM) and Hi-Tech Medical College and Hospital.
Live operations were telecasted from operation theatre, where faculties demonstrated newer techniques by live surgery.
In KIMS Hospital five operative workshops were held like Vaginal Hysterectomy, Urogynecology, Cosmetic vaginal surgery, High Risk Pregnancy and Menopause. About 1200 delegates had attended the workshop.
In SUM hospital five operative workshops were held like 3D Laparoscopy, Hysteroscopy, Infertility, Genetic and Fetal Medicine and Ultrasound. About 1500 delegates participated in this workshop.
In Hi-Tech Medical college and Hospital operative Oncology surgery were held in which about 300 delegates were present in this workshop.
Famous International and National surgeons operated most complicated surgeries for benefits and knowledge of the delegates for their skill development.
Dr KC Mohapatra and Dr SK Giri were overall in-charge of these workshops which were co-ordinated by dedicated team of doctors of the medical colleges. The organizing chairperson Dr PC Mohapatra and organizing secretary Dr Hara Prasad Pattanaik thanked all faculties and delegates.
