Bhubaneswar, Jan 18: The two day 2nd Commandants Conference 2018 concluded today at Command Centre and Control Room of Special Armed Police (SAP) in Bhubaneswar.
The conference was inaugurated by Satyajit Mohanty, ADG of Police (Provisioning). Smt B Radhika, ADG of Police SAP assisted by Sanjeeb Panda, IG SAP conducted the conference.
Dr. Rajendra Prasad Sharma, DGP graced the valedictory session as Chief Guest. In his address, Dr. Sharma lauded the performance of SAP and emphasised on discipline, integrity, personal conduct and leadership of the Commandants.
He called upon the Commandants to make the State Armed Force as the best force in the Country. Sunil Roy, Director Intelligence was the Special Guest of honour. DGP launched the e-grievance system and e-office system by clicking the mouse. SAP has become the first Police Office in the State to introduce e-office. 28 Commandants, 8 Deputy Commandants and 4 Assistant Commandants attended the conference.
In Odisha, there are twenty two battalions functioning in different parts of the State. They are engaged in maintaining law and order, conducting anti-Maoist operation, providing security to vital installations, providing security to VIPs etc. Ten working groups were formed who made presentations on different subjects like training, deployment of force, welfare, personnel issues, Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force (ODRAF), Odisha Industrial Security Force (OISF) and Odisha Swift Action Force (OSAF).
