Bhubaneswar, Feb 6: Five new records in different field event were set by athletes participated in 70th State Police Athletic Championship held at Kalinga Stadium here.
Sepoy Amit Kumar Mahanta of OSAP 4th Battalion, Rourkela has created a new meet record in Triple Jump by covering a distance of 14.28 mtrs The previous Meet record was 13.97 mtrs in the name of Sepoy Tarinisen Mahanta of OSAP 1st Battalion, Dhenkanal.
Sepoy Taranisen Mahanta also covered the distance of 14.14 mtrs and broke his previous meet record.
Sepoy Ashutosh Kumar of OSAP 4th Battalion, Rourkela by covering the distance of 14.08 mtrs and broke the previous meet record.
Sepoy Koushalya Kumar Nayak of OSAP 6th Battalion, Cuttack has created a new meet record in 400 mtrs Hurdles by covering a time of 53.7 second by breaking his own meet record of 55.5 second.
OSAP 6th Battalion, Cuttack has created a new meet record in 4×100 mtr Relay race by covering the distance in 43.5 Second by breaking their own previous meet record of 44.1 second.
