The 2018 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup was an international limited-overs cricket tournament currently held in New Zealand from 13 January to 3 February 2018. It was the twelfth edition of the Under-19 Cricket World Cup.
In the first Super League semi-final, Australia beat Afghanistan by 6 wickets to progress to the final and in the second semi-final, India beat Pakistan by 203 runs to advance into the final.
Jonathan Merlo made a solid 76 before the India’s left-arm spin duo of Shiva Singh and Anukul Roy sprung into action, limiting the opposition to 216 all out by setting a target of 217 for win .
Manjot Kalra smashed an unbeaten century as India crushed Australia by eight wickets. This is India’s fourth Under-19 World Cup title. Chasing a modest 217 , India scored the target in just 38.5 overs with eight wickets in hand.
