Bhubaneswar: Odisha Director General of Police (DGP) Dr. Rajendra Prasad Sharma on Thursday reviewed the security measures in the cut-off areas of Malkangiri district along with Additional DG (Operation) Border Security Force (BSF) Arun Kumar.
Along with DGP Dr Sharma and BSF ADG Arun Kumar, senior officers of Odisha Police and the BSF senior officials including Director Intelligence Odisha Sunil Roy, IGP Operations Odisha RP Koche, IGP Odisha Frontier BSF AK Singh, DIG SWR Koraput Smt. S Shyni and SP Malkangiri Jagmohan Meena visited the Jodambo ANPP in the cut-off area of Malkangiri district.
The officers discussed on the prevailing Left Wing Extremist scenario and response of the security forces to the Left Wing Extremism.
The discussions mainly focused on the strategic and tactical deployment and re-deployment of the forces in the cut-off and bordering areas.
They also deliberated on the problems faced by the security forces in matters of road connectivity, communication, logistics and ways and means to overcome the difficulties.
During their visit, the officers also interacted with other senior officers of the State Police and BSF as well as the security forces deployed at Jodambo ANPP.
