Bhubaneswar : Principal Secretary of the Revenue & Disaster Management Department , Dr. Chandra Sekhar Kumar (IAS) Govt. of Odisha in a Circular (letter No. RDM-Reg-REGN-0027-2017/2712/R&DM) of dated 17th January 2018 to all the ADM-cum-District Registrars , has instructed to follow the provisions of Real Estate (Regulations & Development Act) 2016, (RERA) and guidelines of Odisha Real Estate Regulatory Authority (ORERA), at the time of registration of sale or offer for sale of any plot, apartment,or building as the case may be, in any real estate project.
EXEMPTION : Any real estate project where the area of the land is less than 500 sq meters or the total no of apartments/flat is eight or less inclusive of all phases and also where the project has been completed and the promoters have received the completion certificate from the competent authority prior to commencement of the Act, i.e., before 01st of May 2017. Registration of sale or offer for sale shall not be refused for them.
