Bhubaneswar, Feb 4: The third Edition of Golden Triangle International Film Festival which starts from February 9 at Jayadev Bhawan will screen 56 short and feature films. The festival will conclude on February 12.
The four-day film festival is being organised by Golden Triangle Charitable Trust (GTCT).
Event organisers said, the trust is created with the purpose of organising International Film Festival in the name of Golden Triangle International Film Festival (GTIFF) with global standards and repute, to attract the best in celluloid to the culturally rich city of Bhubaneswar.
It holds the responsibility of promoting the exhibition of unique national and international films, facilitating the running of programmes related to films, granting film awards and celebrating documentaries, they addressed.
Countries like Russia, Tajkisthan, Lativia, Armenia, Lithuania, Saudi Arab, Iraq, Ukrain, Iran, Afghanistan, Ujbekistan, Kazaksthan, Phillipines, India and Kryrgyzstan will screen their short and feature films in their respective dialects.
From India, short and feature films such as ‘Phir Ushi Mood per’, ‘Living Idle’, ‘Gaon’, ‘Thikona’, ‘Gurukulam’, ‘Nirupaya’, ‘Pension’, ‘Adrishya’, ‘Bhura’ and ‘Brunda’ in Hindi, Tamil and Odia dialects will be screened during the festival. Each day the screening of films will start at 9 am and the days’ event will wind up at 8.30 pm.
“In addition to screening films the GTIFF would like to create a platform for discussions, networking, as well as organizing film events and workshops. We would like to be part of the universal creative exchange of ideas and forge collaboration with other film entities across the world,” said the GTCT president Priya Ranjan Sahoo. Trust Secretary and Actress Anu Chaudhary also spoke on the occasion.
