New Delhi, Feb 22: A Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) official on Thursday dismissed the news circulating about the declaration of entrance results as “misinformation”, saying that no such announcement has been made by the administration as of now.
“I don’t know where they got this information that results are already out. This is all misinformation,” Milap Punia, Director Admissions, told IANS.
He said results for the courses where viva voce is prescribed will be announced by next week and overall results by March last week.
“We advise applicants to keep checking the JNU website… If result is declared, it will be highlighted in the admissions section,” the official added.
Several media outlets published the news that the JNU entrance results — exams for which were conducted between December 27 and December 30– were declared on Wednesday.
About one lakh candidates appeared for the entrance exams for admission in several courses at the premier university.
