AROUND 1000 FLIGHTS TO AND FROM DELHI TO BE CANCELLED AHEAD OF REPUBLIC DAY
Delhi International Airport Pvt Ltd (DIAL) has asked airlines to cancel all domestic flights scheduled to land and take off from the Indira Gandhi International Airport between 10.30 am and 12.15 pm from January 18 to 26.
This is due to heightened security measures taken ahead of Republic Day on 26 January. DIAL had to ask the domestic flights to be cancelled and international carriers to reschedule their flights.
With the cancellation of these flights, the fares of the remaining flights could get pushed up due to the spurt in demand.
